Our founder, Chris Mojica, worked various roles at a luxury co-op apartment building in NYC. Eventually being promoted to Handyman in 2008, he was responsible for maintaining 86 multi-million dollar apartments (including 2 penthouses) and 8 medical offices. He worked under and was mentored by a highly experienced and successful super, who had served 15 years as the resident manager at the iconic Dakota. Chris quickly gained a reputation for meeting the needs of residents in a clean, efficient, trustworthy, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner. In addition to his duties as handyman, Chris also assisted the super in managing 18 staff members and various building operations.

This reputation and success led to Chris being hired as Super/Resident Manager of another luxury co-op apartment building in NYC. During his tenure there, Chris managed a staff of 10 and was responsible for 29 apartments (including a penthouse) and 2 medical offices. He oversaw major renovations and a complete natural gas system overhaul.

Concurrent to his full-time work described above, Chris ran a handyman/home improvement business he started in 2014. This business came about because many of the residents of the apartments he managed were so pleased with his work that they hired him to work on other properties they owned or referred him to friends who needed the services he provided. Among the clients and residents he served were professional athletes and senior executives of major companies/organizations. Chris exceeded every one of their expectations, with many becoming repeat clients.

That was the beginning of Eterworks. After seeing a need and receiving requests beyond handyman services, Chris evolved the business to also provide preventative maintenance and management services.
